Terms and Conditions for Dunbar House Inn and Event Property

Minimum Stay

2-night minimum stay requirements are in effect for weekends, and during holidays and local events.

Deposits

All reservations are taken with a 50% deposit at the time of the booking.

Check in and Check out

Check-in time is from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.; Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

Want to arrive earlier than our 3 pm check-in time? With 24 hours advanced notice, we will have your room available for arrival as early as 1 pm on the day of arrival.

If arriving later than 7:00 p.m., kindly advise us and we will provide you with our late check-in process.

touchless payments

Your credit card on file will be charged the remaining balance due for your reservation on your day of arrival and a receipt will be emailed to you.  If you prefer to us a different credit card or form of payment, please let us know we will be happy to update the file as necessary.

Parking

We provide Private Parking for all guests staying at the Inn.  Kindly park along the front of the house near the picket fence in the designated parking spaces.  Additional parking is available if needed in the gravel area marked “Employee Parking”.  If at all possible we do ask to keep the space in front of the Electric Vehicle Charging Station open for those guest who may need to utilize during their stay.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping service is complimentary and available upon request. Simply inform any of our staff to request extra towels and amenities or to schedule a room cleaning, we will gladly take care of your request.

Breakfast

All accommodations, include a complimentary made to order gourmet breakfast, served from 8:00 am – 10:00 am daily in the main dining room or available outdoor seating areas.

Cancellations

Prior to 72 hours of your arrival date; cancellations will be accepted. We provide two options; your deposit amount is refunded to the credit card on file, minus a $50 cancellation fee OR a gift certificate for the full amount on deposit will be sent via email, and can be applied to a future reservation. This optional cancellation Gift Certificate will expire 1-year from the date of issuance.

All cancellations less than 72 hours will result in the forfeiture of the full amount on deposit unless the room can be rebooked.

Privacy

The house and grounds are open to our guests only, ensuring the ultimate in privacy.

Occupancy

A maximum of two individuals is allowed in each guestroom.  We do not offer roll-away or inflatable beds.

Quiet Time

Is between the hours of 10:00 pm to 8:00 am – We ask that you be respectful of our neighbors and community, they are nice people just like you.

Children

The Dunbar House Inn and Event Property is an intimate, romantic and private haven and we are unable to accommodate children.  While children are welcome at Dunbar House Inn and Event Properties, our occupancy rules allow a maximum of two occupants per room.  If there are more than two people in your party we suggest you book our Opi’s Room room at The Victoria Inn or one of our V Vacation Rental properties that can accommodate more than two guests.

Pets

We are NOT a dog-friendly property.  We have accommodations at our sister properties The Victoria Inn and V Vacation Rentals that happily offer dog friendly options.  If it is determined that you have brought a non service animal into the property of the Dunbar House Inn and Event Properties, a fee of $300.00 for a professional cleaning of the room or venue will be charged to your credit card on file.

Service Animals

If you have a dog that is NOT a service animal, we respectfully request that you honor the good work of service animals by not claiming that you pet is a service animal.

 Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

  • A service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability.
    • “Companion” and “Comfort” dogs are not “service animals” protected by the ADA.
    • We may ask you (1) whether the dog is a service dog required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task the dog has been trained to perform

Smoking

Smoking is NOT ALLOWED on the property, including guest rooms, balconies, and porches. A $250.00 fee will be applied for the cleaning of a room if smoking occurs in the room or on the balcony or porch.

Damages and Replacement Fees

Damage to the property, including but not limited to guest rooms, fixtures, furnishings, artwork, décor or bed linens, will result in a fee for replacement value or necessary cleaning. This fee will be charged to the credit card on file.

Gift Certificates

Cannot be processed through the online booking system at this time. Please call us directly at 209-728-2897 and mention you have a Gift Certificate to apply to your reservation at the time of reservation.

Covid 19

By visiting the Dunbar House Inn you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.  The evolving nature of this event requires flexibility as we continue to follow both state and local guidelines with regards to the Coronavirus.
