A note from Arline Taborek: I enjoy cooking comfort food that is welcoming, and just plain yummy. Along with last year's new recipes, Rustic New England Custard, Cranberry Oatmeal Scones, Tropical Towers, and Spiced Nectarines, to mention a few, we here at Dunbar House, 1880 are now busy creating some wonderful new recipes. We have been testing these recipes out mainly on my husband Rich, who enjoys eating as much as I love cooking, along with some adventurous guests who have given us the thumbs up. Our goal is to keep our recipes simple, yet elegant. The best part is that most of our recipes can be made ahead of time. There are some very talented cooks in the Dunbar Kitchen. Wait until you taste our Green & Red Fresca Tomatoes that are garden picked, and have a wonderful aroma. We have paired our Confetti Breakfast Enchurrito with a killer Grilled Avocado, and then we cool you down with Sangria Marinated Fruit & Cream. Our White Sauce is made from scratch, and is perfectly seasoned, creamy and delicious. You will be delighted by our artistic food design and presentation. Cooking for other people is personal, as it allows me to express myself, and to share a part of myself with people. Creating recipes and sharing them is a very rewarding experience, and one that I am looking forward to sharing with our Dunbar guests in our new cookbook.
